- Parents tour the school and meet with the Head of School. The purpose of the initial visit is to share information about the school and the Montessori education approach. The intention is to discuss goals between home and school, with attention to the child's readiness for the classroom experience.
- An application is submitted to the school for enrollment (or waiting list if no openings are available at that time). A $40 dollar application fee is due upon submission of the application. This will ensure your child’s place in the classroom or waiting list.
- The prospective student may visit to become acquainted with the teachers and classroom. This will be arranged with the Head of School prior to visiting.
- The Head of School will notify families of acceptance, and notify families on the waiting list when openings become available.
- Once accepted, there is a Trial Period of Attendance for two (2) school weeks. This allows the teachers more time to interact with the child and better assess whether the child is ready to attend regularly. *
*During
the Trial Period of Attendance, Mountain
Kids Montessori reserves the right to put a child's enrollment status on
hold until a later date that better meets the child's developmental needs for
regular attendance. In this case, a meeting with the Head of School will be
arranged with both parents to attend and discuss the best option for the child.
